Terms of Service

Language Translator for WhatsApp ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that translates messages on WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com). It is an independent product, built and operated by Jaydev Sachdeva ("we," "us"). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. By installing or using the extension, or by using this website, you agree to these terms.

• A free tier is available forever: unlimited manual translation, plus a rolling 24-hour quota of automatic translations.
• A paid Premium subscription (monthly or yearly, priced on the pricing page) removes the automatic-translation quota and unlocks God Mode and Auto-Send.
• Translation is performed by sending message text to a third-party translation service. We don't guarantee translation accuracy — it's provided "as is," and you shouldn't rely on it for anything where a mistranslation could cause serious harm (medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical communication).
• We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, or these terms, at any time. We'll make a reasonable effort to notify Premium subscribers of material changes that affect them.

Signing in uses passwordless email verification — there's no password to manage or lose. Each account is limited to one active device at a time; signing in elsewhere signs the previous device out. You're responsible for keeping access to the email address associated with your account, since that's how sign-in codes and account recovery work.

• Premium subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe (and, for legacy subscribers, Lemon Squeezy); we never see or store your card details.
• Cancel anytime from the extension popup's "Manage subscription" link — it takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep Premium access until then. No penalty, no phone call, no "gauntlet" required.
• Full refund if you ask within 7 days of a charge — email j@jaydev.ai. Outside that window, refunds are considered case by case.
• Uninstalling the extension does not cancel your subscription — billing continues until you cancel it (via the popup, the reinstalled extension, or by emailing us).

Use the extension only for its intended purpose: translating your own WhatsApp Web conversations. Don't use it to scrape, bulk-message, or otherwise automate WhatsApp in ways that violate WhatsApp's own terms of service, or to send spam, harassment, or unlawful content. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that abuse the service or attempt to circumvent its usage limits or payment.

The extension and this site are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including translation errors, service interruptions, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the extension or this site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we'll try to give existing Premium subscribers notice by email.
